FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

This is the 12-string version of the Carl Wilson Signature Model 360. Like the 6-string version, it has a figured maple body with thin top, vintage style 21-fret neck and vintage-style "toaster" pickups. The pickups were redesigned to be more vintage accurate. The "toaster" pickups made from the mid-1980s to 1999 had a total impedence of about 11.5K ohms. These pickups have more midrange, hotter output, but less "jangle" than the originals. The redesigned pickups have a total impedence of about 7.5K ohms which more closely resembles that of the original pickups from the mid and late 1960s. The new versions have less output, more clarity and harmonic richness, and more greater "jangle" factor. Only 500 Carl Wilson models (6-string and 12-string combined) were made. It was offered with the choice of Fireglo (sunburst) or Jetglo (black) finish.
