FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

The Fender Deluxe Amp, model 5B3, received a cosmetic makeover in 1952. The new style cabinet is often referred to as the “wide panel” cabinet. The 5B3 circuit in the wide panel cabinet only lasted until mid-1954, after which the 5C3 circuit emerged. The 5C3 differed from its predecessor by virtue of a negative feedback loop which the 5B3 lacked.
