Structurally, the maple body ASATs from 1986-87 were
identical to the Broadcaster. The only differences between the ASAT
shown here and its predecssor is the lack of color matched headstock, different
model name decal, and lack of Leo Fender-signed inspection tag in the neck
pocket. In a way, it's a "poor man's" Broadcaster.
