FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

The Peavey company was started in 1965 by Hartley Peavey. Only amplifiers and PA systems were manufactured from 1965 to 1978. Peavey was the first U.S. guitar maker to use computer controlled "robot machines" to cut and rough out guitar bodies and necks. This resulted in greater consistency, less waste and lower costs. The Peavey Dyna Unity bass was at the top of the line with its neck-through construction and active electronics.
