FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

This is a very early example of an ASAT Classic Signature. It is very unusual because it has a maple body which was an option, but one that was not common. The tone of this guitar is different from the usual ASAT Classic not only because it has a maple body rather than ash body, but also because the electronics are different. Specifically, the pickups have fewer windings and the circuit is slightly different from later Classics (bootstrapping resistor that changes the taper of the tone pot). Later ASAT Classics do not have this resistor.
