After the maple body Broadcaster was discontinued in 1986, G&L occassionally used maple for ASAT guitar bodies through 1991. Sometimes the maple was figured, as shown in this '89 ASAT Signature model. Also, note the 3-piece body which was not uncommon for G&Ls manufactured in the late 1980s including this example from 1990.
