Factoids and Trivia

The Gibson BR-9 was a student model lap steel amp. It had two 6V6GT power tubes and a 6SJ7 pentode preamp that was good for a whopping 10 watts. Controls were very simple and consisted of a power switch and a volume control. It came equipped with a 10-inch Jensen F-series field coil speaker which sounded fine for lap steel, but wasn't gnarly enough for guitar unless the volume was dimed.
