FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

The G&L Cavalier is a rare guitar.  Most were made with ash bodies, but the example shown here was made with a mahogany body making it rarer still.  Add in the hardtail bridge and you've got quite a rarebird indeed.  It's a shame that that G&L discontinued the Cavalier model.  The small humbuckers are bright and, for the most part, sound like a hum cancelling version of the ASAT soapbar MFD pickups which they resemble.  The mahogany body works particularly well with these pickups and smooths out the top end nicely.
