FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

In 1966, the Jazzmaster underwent a minor cosmetic change with the addition of a bound fingerboard, block markers, and Stratocaster-like headstock shape. All Fenders were finished with a polyester lacquer beginning in mid-1968 since it was more durable than nitrocellulose. This Jazzmaster has a rare feature - pearl-button Grover Rotomatic tuners. These were usually found on Fender's Coronado Wildwood series, and Montego and LTD jazz archtops.

The Jaguar has transitional features, i.e. - dot markers with bound fingerboard, "F" tuners, and second style headstock.
