FACTOIDS & TRIVIA
The SC-3 was introduced in 1983 along with the other economy models, the SC-1 and SC-2. While the latter models quickly faded from the G&L catalog, the SC-3 remained the lone entry level guitar in production until 1991. Like the other G&L budget models, the SC-3 was spartan in its appointments with its downsized slab maple body and maple neck. While vintage Fender economy ("student") models have been overlooked by players and collectors, G&L’s economy models are highly sought by players and collectors. The SC-3 shown here has the rare, early body style that was made in 1982 and 1983.
