FACTOIDS & TRIVIA

This is an early example of an L-1000 bass. Production for this model began in mid-1980 and was the only bass model offered until the introduction of the L-2000 in 1981. During this time, L-1000 production remained relatively high, but tapered off significantly by the middle of the decade. During the early years, the L-1000 was available with several wood options. The body could be ordered in mahogany or ash (though some poplar and maple examples exist) and the choice of fingerboard included maple, ebony and rosewood.
